Construction in Europe
With an established Euro-Network, and many successful projects completed and underway for leading construction companies, Dixon Scaffolding are able to supply and erect scaffolding throughout Europe, and have full knowledge of all necessary Euro standards and practices.
Restoration of historic war building in Berlin
In November 1995 Dixon Scaffolding was approached by Gerustbau-Held from Berlin to discuss a joint venture project providing full scaffolding to the "Reichstag" building in Berlin.
The design for the weatherproof structure had to allow for three years occupation, and with Berlin regularly experiencing severe winters, snow loading calculations were of paramount importance.
Using specialised equipment, some manufactured specifically for this project, Dixon Scaffolding provided 30 erectors with engineering and supervisory staff to complete the building and roof within the allocated schedule.
On completion we provided 25000M.sq. of access scaffolding and 7500M.sq. of steel covered roof. Roof trusses were designed to a maximum of 48m spans and 3000 ladder beams were used on this project.

Dixon Scaffolding in France
Eve Trackway (France) contacted Dixon Scaffolding (Transmission) Ltd on numerous occasions to provide solutions and give competitive prices for specialist scaffold solutions throughout France for their client Electricity-de-France. Contracts were carried out at Strasbourg Conches, Nice and Maubeuge.
The above picture shows a scaffold guard erected to an Electrified Railway Crossing under conductors on the Maubeuge - Valenciennes 150kV Overhead Transmission Line.

Heat and Dust in Oman
During Autumn 1997 Dixon Scaffolding Oman was formed, initially to carry out work on the O.N.L.G. project at Sur in the Sultanate of Oman. At the commencement of this contract Omani, Indian and Nepalese personnel were trained and supervised by U.K. staff.
The main contractor to this project was Chiyodda-Foster-Wheeler and during the first year scaffolding work was also undertaken for Wimpey-Alawi, Bahwan Engineering Company, Al Ghalilah Engineering Co, Hani Archiroden, Dodsall Engineering, Nous Trading and Dywidag.
At all our Middle East sites, safety was of prime importance and a full training programme combined with proactive management ensured all local personnel were able to work in a risk free envoironment.
