ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Dixon Scaffolding (Transmission) Ltd provides a specialist scaffolding service including design to its clients and has an excellent reputation for high standards of quality and safety of which it is most proud.
The company recognises the need to operate its business in a responsible manner complying with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, to maintain its reputation, and generate future business. The Contracts Director has overall responsibility for environmental issues.
The company is committed to maintain the highest standards in protecting the environment by setting objectives/targets and seeks to find new ways to minimise the environmental impact of its business activities in order to achieve continual improvement.
The company is committed to the principle of prevention of pollution and will manage its operations in such a way as to achieve this principle.
This policy applies to all employees, sites and any contractors who may work for the company and will be communicated at induction, on notice boards and is available to the public.
The company shall ensure that employees have the skills, knowledge and resources necessary to ensure compliance with this policy.
The following objectives/targets for environmental improvement have been identified
- To monitor our vehicle fleet to increase efficiency, improve CO˛ emissions and reduce fuel consumption/mileage wherever possible.
- To ensure that in the future development of its facilities at Kirk Sandall all viable options to reduce energy use and possible pollution incidents are considered.
This policy and the objectives/targets contained within it will be subject to an Annual Management Review as part of the company programme to meet the criteria for environmental management systems contained in BS EN ISO 14001 (2004).
