Introduction
In 1968 having gained considerable experience in the scaffolding industry, I decided to form my own company, Dixon Scaffolding Company Ltd.
The company won its first sizeable contract at Fawley Power Station for C.A. Parsons and Holliday Hall and gradually began to expand its operations further North. In 1972 the company crossed the border to work at Inverkip Power Station for several major contractors, and by 1982 had obtained its first offshore contract on the Brent Bravo Platform for Shell U.K.
Since then the company has expanded and diversified its operations into all areas of the scaffolding industry.
Dixon Scaffolding is fully aware of the complex and growing needs of industry and can offer clients the benefits of its expertise with a top quality service whilst maintaining a keen eye on cost factors. The company provides the most up to date equipment, and expert advisory and design service, and a fully qualified workforce, who are on call to clients 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Design Dixon Scaffolding employ a highly qualified team of engineers and contracting staff, who can give advice to customers to determine their requirements and when necessary, by using the most up to date technology, produce drawings with supporting calculations for any access scaffold or scaffold structure required.

The company's in house design capability enables a complete professional service to be offered to clients, along with strict quality, safety and budgetary controls.

Also, our IT Department is constantly developing new computer software to increase efficiency and accuracy in many areas of our operations

Safety comes first
Dixon Scaffolding are proud of their excellent safety record over the previous years of trading and are determined to keep safety standards to the utmost maximum.
By using only quality materials and fully qualified, experienced personnel with the backup of safety specific members of staff, this ensures that all operations carried out by the company hold safety methods of paramount importance.
In order to maintain our excellent safety standards we are constantly retraining our staff in the latest safety methods. Also, we have quickly adopted new safety methods and equipment such as Cable Safe Limited's new fall arrest system, which we extensively helped to test and develop, and for which we are currently the only company whose staff are all fully trained.

The picture above shows our scaffolders helping to demonstrate the Cable Safe system to representatives of the HSE, who have shown a great deal of interest in the system.

The Quality Management System that is operated throughout the company is mandatory to all company personnel and to all operations carried out by the company and no unauthorised alterations or deviations are permitted. All procedures are audited to maintain the standard of quality being delivered to our customers, thus ensuring that client confidence can be developed and maintained at all times.
